DOIMUKH, Apr 25: 12 NDRF Itanagar rescued five persons from the Dikrong River near the Shani Market, Doimukh on Saturday.
The NDRF launched the rescue operation on receiving information from the Police Station Doimukh around 2130hrs that five persons, all hailing from Ziro, were stranded in the middle of the Dikrong River due to sudden rise in water level.
Accordingly, a team quickly reached the incident site and rescued those stranded and handed them over to the local police.
