Doimukh, Aug 12: 12 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Itanagar organized dignity kits i.e. item of National Disaster Reserve Resource distribution programme in two districts of Arunachal Pradesh, Papum Pare & Namsai and in Sonitpur, Assam today.
A standard ‘dignity kit’ for women contains toiletries and clothing. These kits are used during disaster time by affected women.
Rajesh Thakur, Commandant 12 NDRF distributed 117 dignity kits at DC Office, Yupia in presence of Pige Ligu, Deputy Commissioner, Papum Pare. Brijesh Kumar Upadhyay, Deputy Commandant 12 NDRF distributed 100 dignity kits at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Namsai in presence of Sh. RK Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Namsai and Dr. Abir Chowdhury, 2nd In Command (Med) 12 NDRF at Zila Parishad office, Tezpur, Sonitpur district, Assam gave away the kits free of cost to poor needy women of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
