Itanagar, Jan 19: The State Level Review Meeting titled ‘Available Facilities and Status of New Born and Paediatric Care in Arunachal Pradesh- Analysing the gaps and steps to improve quality of care’ organised by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) and facilitated by the Foundation for Integrated Support and Solution (FISS) was conducted here at private hotel on January 17 last.
Taking stock of the scenario of paediatric care and child protection and rehabilitation services available in the state, Member, NCPCR Dr R.G. Anand urged the functionaries of the State Health Department to provide best medical services to the children in state despite inadequate human resource and infrastructure. He also expressed concern over the non-availability of Child Rights Commission in Arunachal Pradesh and urged the state government to make the State Child Rights Commission functional at the earliest.
In-charge Secretary Juhi Mukherjee, Director, Family Welfare A.Yirang, Sr. Technical Expert, Child Health & Psychology, NCPCR Shaista K Shah, Deputy Director NIPCCD Guwahati Dr. Manju Dhondiyal, officers and field functionaries from the Health & Family Welfare and Women & Child Development departments attended the programme.
