ITANAGAR, Feb 18: History Department Dera Natung Govt. College hosted Taba Rosy, Member of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), Govt. of India, New Delhi for inaugural lecture of Skill Based course. Rosy delivered a talk on “youth and their contribution: Opportunities and challenges”in which she highlighted scopes and opportunities as well as challenges for the youths to contribute back to society.
Terming the youth as the future, she encouraged students to take out time and share a moment with younger generations especially from socially and economically weaker sections of society. She urged students to rise above narrow boundaries of clan, tribe, region and student unionism and be passionate in whatever they do to be able to contribute and compete.
The talk was attended by 51 students with course coordinators Dr. RubuTani and Mr. Duli Ete.
Earlier, Rosy inspected an art installation called River of Wisdom- a floral river made from recycled bottles by Arts Club of the college, displayed at late Dera Natung Statue Lawn and appreciated the creativity of the students.
