Indian Army conducts ‘Know Your Army’ outreach
TEZU, Apr 23: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth development movement has enormous potential for nation building. The NCC provides opportunities to the youth of the country for their all-round development with a sense of Duty, Commitment, Dedication, Discipline and Moral Values so that they become able leaders and useful citizens, thinking these an Annual Training Camp (CATC) for the Senior Division Army (SDA) and Senior Wing Army (SWA) where NCC cadets of Indira Gandhi Government College, Tezu; Jawaharlal Nehru College, Pasighat ; Donyi Polo Government College, Kamki and Government Higher Secondary School Tezu enthusiastically participated here in the premises recently.
As many as 69 cadets have attended the camp. Training on Drill, Command, Weapon, Map reading, Field craft, Battle craft, Leadership and Personality development were imparted to the cadets by a group of well qualified army instructors. Cadets have also fired live rounds at Lohitpur Brigade firing range. Lt Col Mandeep Singh Nijjar, Commanding Officer, 22 AP BN NCC, Pasighat has motivated the cadets to take the benefits of NCC 'B'.
Meanwhile, the CO, 22 AP BN NCC, Pasighat has also thanked the Principal of the college Dr. Kangki Megu for his logistics support and motivation. This is the first State level camp which is being organized in the Eastern Arunachal districts. This camp was coordinated by Lt.(Dr.) Rajen Miwu, Associate Professor & NCC Officer, NCC (SD) COY, IGGC TEZU.
