ITANAGAR, Aug 5: Water Resources and SYA Minister Mama Natung on Wednesday convened the first-ever virtual conference of the Water Resources Department here from the Civil Secretariat and took stock of the reports on damages caused by flood and reviewed the progress of works under various State & CSS schemes.

The virtual conference was attended by Secretary WRD Er Doyom Padu, CEs of P&D Er Likar Angu, WZ Er Getom Borang, EZ Er Modak Ngomdir, SE-Hq Er Tadam Ligu, SSW Er Tokbom Lego and Executive Field Officers from all divisions. 

Addressing the Field Officers Natung said that Covid-19 should not halt developmental works and asked them to prepare survey and estimation reports only after making assessment from ground zero. He appealed to the Field Engineers to ensure timely completion while maintaining quality of works especially projects under CSS like PMKSY and encouraged them to cooperate with the District Administrations in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.

Secretary Water Resources Er Geyum Padu asked the Executive Engineers to expedite submission of reports and work in a coordinated manner. All Chief Engineers insisted on early submission of geo-tagging of projects to ensure timely release of funds.
