HARIDWAR, Sep 9: Minister Environment & Forest, Mama Natung visited the Patanjali Yogpeeth and Research Institute in Haridwar, Uttarakhand today. Natung met Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balakrishna and discussed the prospects of setting up a state of the art Bio-Diversity Park in Arunachal Pradesh and the Scientific Research & Documentation of Floral Biodiversity of Arunachal Pradesh.
The Minister also emphasized upon the promotion and use of traditional systems of medicine such as Ayurveda & Siddha in India, particularly in Arunachal Pradesh and invited the Patanjali Research Institute for creating such facilities in Arunachal Pradesh.
Natung also requested to set up an Ayurveda based Drug De-addiction Center in the state, for which the duo gave their assurance.
During the course of the meeting, the pending issues of Patanjali’s Project at Sejiosa were also discussed. The Minister was accompanied by Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Cum Prl Secy, Env & Forests, GoAP, RK Singh and Secretary Sports & Youth Affairs Anirudh Singh.
