Seppa, Nov. 13: WRD, Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Mama Natung on Thursday visited Lumdung to inspect the ongoing construction of the link road from Lumdung to Debeyar Circle Nere road under the NESIDS scheme.
While expressing satisfaction on the project’s progress, Natung also pointed out the need for proper side drainage facilities and specifically mentioned the need for having camber with adequate slope to avoid stagnation of water on the road. The Minister along with officials visited the water conservation site being constructed at Narabah and expressed contentment over the work progress. Stressing on the need for more such projects in the district for promotion of tourism, Natung hoped that the water conservation project would serve as a model not only for other districts but also for other states as well. The visit ended with inspection of the convention hall being constructed at Lumdung which will accommodate an audience of about 500 people.
