PANGIN, Apr 5: Minister WRD Mama Natung inaugurated the Water Resource Department (WRD),  Division Office at Pangin, Siang District today and also assured to provide sufficient manpower for smooth functioning of the office.
While appreciating the executing agency for constructing the double-storey building at minimal fund of Rs 94.42 lakhs, the Minister asserted that the district has set an example of Minimum Government and Maximum Governance by utilizing the funds judiciously for development. He assured to provide sufficient manpower soon for the office.
Further, responding to query, Natung also informed that permanent office building as well as residential quarters for the staff of Chief Engineer-WRD Eastern Zone at Miao, Changlang District is in process. CE-WRD (ES) office has already been shifted and running from Old IB at Miao, however, the government is working on strategies for the construction of a permanent office building.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu had laid the foundation stone for the office of the Chief Engineer-WRD & RWD Eastern Zone on 25th  April 2018.
Among others, MLAs Ojing Tasing, Talem Taboh and Kumsi Sidisow, CE- WRD(CZ) Getom Borang,PRI leaders and other officials of the WRD also attended the event.
