TEZU, Feb 4: A day-long national workshop on ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ was organised today here at the Indira Gandhi Government College in collaboration with the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology ( KSCST), Bengaluru and Cell for Promotion & Management (CIPAM), Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Principal, IGGC and patron of the workshop Dr. Kangki Megu while highlighting the importance of Intellectual Property Rights, especially in the field of copyrights and patenting, lauded the Idu tribe for patenting their indigenous food and costume. He expressed optimism that the workshop will greatly aware the students and faculty of the college and the delegates on various dimensions of Intellectual Property Rights.
Resource Persons from KSCST- Executive Secretary Hemant Kumar, Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Vijay Kumar, Consultant and IP Attorney Vivek Anand Sagar, along with visiting professor RIWATCH, Roing Dr. Nandani Dohlipat deliberated on various aspects of IP Rights.
