PASIGHAT, Nov 28: The 3-day national webinar on ‘Geospatial Technology Application in Forestry’ concluded today here at the College of Horticulture and Forestry, Central Agricultural University, Pasighat.
Around 225 students, scientists and faculties from across the country participated in the webinar. Six eminent speakers from renowned institutions like Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Jawaharlal Nehru University and Forest Research Institute, Dehradun delivered lectures on the topics of management of forests and their resources, geospatial perspective, principles of remote sensing and its application in forestry, applicability of geo spatial technology in forest growing stock estimation etc. The webinar concluded with the publication of proceedings and recommendations by the Organizing Secretary and Head, Department of N.R.M. Dr. S.K. Pattanaik.
