PASIGHAT, Jul 28: North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine (NEIFM), Pasighat organized a national webinar on the topic “Ethnobotanical Research in North East India: Potentiality & Possibility” on Monday.

In the programme Dr. Kenjum Bagra, Zoologist while delivering welcome note, spoke on relevant facts right from ethnobotany to ethical issues related to intellectual property right and indigenous right. Prof. (Rtd.) S.K. Borthakur, Gauhati University; Dr. PR Gajurel, NERIST, Nirjuli and Dr. Temim Payum, JN College, Pasighat attended the programme as Resource Persons in the technical sessions.

Dr. Amal Bawri, Coordinator of the webinar also addressed the gathering.  100 participant from all the 8 North Eastern States and other parts of the country participated in the webinar.
