Indian Army conducts ‘Know Your Army’ outreach
RONO HILLS, Jul 15: A one-day national seminar on the topic “Hindi Punarjaagaran Aur DwivediYugeen Kavita” was conducted by the Hindi Department, Rajiv Gandhi University today.
Presiding over the inaugural session, Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University, Prof. Saket Kushwaha said that having a seminar on such an important topic is a sign of the richness and vitality of the Faculty members of the department. He further stressed that a detailed interpretation of literature is necessary for any society, at the same time, one must narrate the socio-cultural, political, economic and philosophical discourses of national importance in our discussion to guide society to better dimensions.
Prof. Nand Kishar Pandey, Dean and a syndicate member, Rajasthan University presented the key note speech. He delivered a succinct lecture and said that the very concept of poets of Dwivedian Era on India as a nation was ‘Akhand Bharat’ and not a cut-throat India. He also said the concern of the human value; social harmony and humanity were the main concern of poetry of Dwivedian Era.
The chief guest of this program, the Vice Chancellor of Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukl University, Raipur, Prof. Kesari Lal Varma emphasized on looking deeply into the poetry of Dwivedian Era as Hindi renaissance. He put some very important points in his statement that - literature not only discuss the present but also defines the future of society.
Therefore, emotional attachment belongingness and togetherness is very necessary for society. When there is a lack of unity in society, then only the compositions of the poets work to establish mutual harmony and co-ordination among them, he said.
In the inaugural session, Prof. Amitav Mitra, Pro Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University, conveyed his warm wishes to all the speakers and participants of the online seminar. He said that the Hindi Department is academically very conscious and active department, which has organised important programs in the last several years with national and international level.
University Registrar Dr. N. T. Rikam, stated that this seminar is an achievement of the Hindi department as well as of the university.
At the beginning of the program, Prof. Oken Lego, Dean Faculty of Languages, said that the event is a good tool to know and understand the poetry of Dwivedian Era in the light of Hindi renaissance.
The Head of the department Prof. Shyam Shankar Singh, the programme co-ordinator Dr. Arun Kumar Pandey and Dr. Abhishek Kumar Yadav also spoke on the occasion.
