Yingkiong, Jan 24: National Girl Child Day was celebrated here today, where the Deputy Director, ICDS Upper Siang, Aroti Tayeng  interacted with girl children from various schools and Anganwadi workers and motivated them to value themselves and work hard to reach their potential. This day is celebrated under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) which is a step in the nation’s resolution to strengthen gender equality by promoting the need to establish a safe, conducive environment for girls and women.
