ITANAGAR, Nov 2: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has allocated at least Rs 400 crore for different projects of the state this year, said Chairman NABARD Dr. G.R. Chintala who is here in the state capital on a three day visit.
Informing about his official visit, the Chairman added that he will visit various undergoing projects in the state being funded by NABARD. He informed that in the last 15 days NABARD has sanctioned at least 17 new micro hydel projects in various border areas of Arunachal.
 Earlier, NABARD used to allocate Rs 50 to 100 crore for various projects in Arunachal but this year it has allocated Rs. 400 crore and the Chief Secretary has informed that the said fund will be accumulated and disbursed for various projects by the end of March, Chintala said. Arunachal Pradesh is a very vast state that needs more infrastructure and other developments. So, NABARD will extend all possible support, especially it will allocate more funds if the state government submits the proposal, he added.

 Earlier, the Chairman along with Administrator-APEX Bank, Habung Lampung flagged –off Mobile ATM initiated by the Apex Bank and supported by NABARD.
