AALO, Apr 3: In view of stone cutting works as part of ongoing double laning work on the Aalo-Likabali road, the West Siang administration has prohibited movement of vehicles from 6am to 11am starting from April 15-June 30next on the said stretch to ensure safety of commuters and smooth progress of work.

The decision was taken by the District Magistrate, West Siang Gamli Padu in response to joint application submitted by the Project Manager TK Engineering Consortium Pvt. Ltd and JKM-KCL (JV) construction agency (Highway) that the double laning work of existing Likabali-Bam road is in progress from 33KM to 65 KM  i.e Likabali to Ego under Basar Sub-Division and cutting work is going on at an approximate height of 100 metres and above and is very risky to human life while cutting stone boulders.
