PASIGHAT, Nov 19: As a part of the series of initiatives to motivate the students of East Siang district and boost their academic performance, an interactive motivational session was organized by DDSE office here at Shiksha Sadan on Monday last.
Organized under “Mission 80% 2019”, it was initiated by DC Dr. Kinny Singh wherein 125 students of Class X and XII from various Secondary and Higher Secondary Government schools of East Siang securing 80% and above in last periodic tests were invited along with resource persons from various fields. DC while interacting with students motivated them to set higher goals of 90% and above and strive for them  through  hard work, discipline and competitive spirit. SP Rajiv Ranjan Singh opined that hard work in a disciplined manner along with cultivating the habit of reading are the secrets of success in academic life and also later in career. Commandant 5thIRBN, Esha Pandey dwelt on the empowering role of education, while sharing various career avenues available. Group Captain (Retd.), Mohonto Panging stressing on hard work, shared his journey from a rural school in Arunachal to becoming the first fighter  pilot from the state. WASE Secretary General Joya Moyong Tasung called upon the young generation to shun drugs, alcohol and intoxicants and make positive contribution to society.
Specialist Doctor Dr. Keni Lego, Principal Sainik School, Niglok, Lt. Commander Amit Kumar, EAC(APCS) Kamin Darrang, HoD (Geo) JN College Dr. S.N. Jha were the other speakers. The students were also taken to Elam Textiles Industry, College of Horticulture & Forestry (CHF) and  DC & SP chambers. DIPRO
