ITANAGAR, May 6:  Arunachal’s Covid situation brightened a bit on Thursday with recoveries showing a marked improvement from previous day’s 76 to 140, with ICR the most critical hotspot in the  state topping the chart with 43.

With the addition of 222 cases on the day, the state’s active Covid tally is now 1858.  Of the new additions, the bulk came from the ICR with 62 followed by LDV with 26. Taking into account the day’s recoveries, the total recovery/discharge total of the state is now 17717. As of Thursday, in the ICR there were 533 active Covid positive cases, 98 asymptomatic positive patients and 335 patients with mild symptoms. A total of 859 tests were conducted in the ICR on the day: RAT-769, RT-PCR 67 and TrueNAT 23.  3459 samples were collected on the day from across the state with bulk collections from the troubled districts such as ICR, Papum Pare, LDV, and Changlang among others. 

38 persons are currently under home isolation in the ICR.  The latest occupancy status at the Covid facilities is: DCH Chimpu 40, DCHC Midpu 9, DCH Pasighat 11, DCHC 5 and SQF Lekhi 64.
