AALO, Mar 27: Mopin Volleyball Tournament for Women and Men got underway today here at the Gumin Kiin premises after inauguration by West Siang Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, CMCC Moki Loyi.
Eight women teams and six men teams are taking part in the tournament to be played on a knock-out basis. Chairman Loyi and Secretary, CMCC Er. Jumge Ete exhorted the players to take up the matches sportingly as it is played as part of the Mopin festival. In the first day’s matches Liik Kiin thrashed Kombo Raglam, Kargu Gamgi A beat Panya, Bene overpowered Kargu Gamgi B and Yigi Kaum defeated Doji Jeko in the women’s category.
PAYWA had an easy victory over Upper Colony and Legi Leyi beat Hydropoer in the men's category. DIPRO
