KHARSANG, Aug 2:  After a month-long agitation by the terminated employees, the management of GeoEnpro Petroleum Limited on Sunday agreed to reinstate all of them.
On June last, 19 employees of the company were reportedly terminated amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Speaking on the occasion, President, KCUYA Munpong Khimhun who led the agitation along with other student organizations and CBOs extended their gratitude to the local MLA, Minister Kamlung Mossang, MP Arunachal East Tapir Gao and all others for standing with the sacked employees. He further urged the reinstated employees to continue their work with dedication for GeoEnpro and help it in achieving business success as it has been prior to the pandemic. Extending gratitude to all the supporters, student organizations, CBOs and NGOs, the reinstated employees stated that it is a great relief for them as they are the lone bread earners of their families.

Since day one of the termination, members of the Kharsang Circle Unemployed Youth Association, Tangsa Youth Association, All Changlang District Students’ Union and All Tangsa Students’ Union had been vocal for the rights of the sacked employees.
