Tarasso, Dec 20: MLA 14-Doimukh Constituency Tana Hali Tara conducted a three-day whirlwind tour to Upper Balijan area and Tarasso Circle accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare Pige Ligu, HoDs, public leaders and well-wishers from December 18-20.
Addressing a development cum victory meeting today at Tarasso, the MLA said that the main objective of the tour was to inspect the developmental activities in his constituency and ascertain the problems and grievances faced by people in remote areas. Speaking on the need for proper road connectivity, he informed about the ambitious road projects coming up from Rakap Village to Balijan, Hollongi to Balijan, Rakap to Balijan via Ramghat and Sangdupota Circle and  requested  the people  to help in creating a  development friendly atmosphere and cooperate with the executing departments in successful implementation of the projects. He also informed that additional fund has been allocated for the early completion of the under-construction bridge over Poma river which will connect Balijan and Tarasso Circles. Highlighting the importance of tourism and wildlife protection, Hali informed that the purpose of trekking 10 hours from Lao village to Tarasso Circle was to assess the potential of eco-tourism and said that the entire area which is rich in flora and fauna needs to be explored for adventure tourism.  
Responding to the memorandum submitted by Ex-ZPM Nabam Eka regarding Community Hall cum Auditorium, upgradation of PHC  Tarasso to CHC, PMGSY road and others, Hali assured to look into the matter after proper discussion with concerned authority. Earlier, he inspected a series of developmental works at different locations at Tarasso Circle and schools at Gai Poriang, Bormai and Dariabil. He also dedicated an Outpost Police Station at Bormai to the people of the Circle and inaugurated a Mega Health Camp at PHC Tarasso.
On the first day of his tour on December 18, he visited the remote Palab village which is yet to be connected through road by trekking four hours to assess the feasibility of the proposed road from Tapioso to Palab village. On the same day, he also visited Lao and Nyoin villages and interacted with villagers to know their grievances. DIPRO
