AALO, Jul 1: The ongoing construction works of Aalo stadium, badminton indoor stadium at Puak Gumin near Yomgo river and CC pavement road from Dego to Mellek were inspected today by MLA Aalo East and Adviser, Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs Advocate Kento Jini.
Jini was accompanied by West Siang Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi, ZPC and ZPMs from the AC and line department officials. Addressing a series of meetings during inspection, the MLA while speaking on Aalo stadium emphasized on expediting of works by the construction agency through deployment of added manpower and machinery. It is pertinent to add that the state government is funding the project which hasn’t picked up pace despite 6 years since commencement on instalment basis. The MLA also assured assistance from his side for the badminton stadium which is one of the best in the state and undergoing a revamp through beautification of surroundings and addition of further assets.
While inspecting the CC pavement road works from Dego village to Mellek, the MLA underscored the need for adhering to deadline. Dego and Panya villages have plenty of dwelling places and cultivable lands despite donation of large chunks of land by the villagers for establishment of Aalo township, Jini said, highlighting the necessity to take the road to unconnected places for further expansion of the township. The DC and ZPC Babom Romin also stressed on early completion of Aalo stadium.
President, District Badminton Association (DBA) Kenbom Riba and senior member Jarsa Gamlin outlined the efforts for creation of badminton courts in the district till the stadium with double courts was conceived. The MLA was thanked by the ZPMs, GBs and citizens for providing road connectivity from Aalo to Dego and Dego to Mellek within a short time. DIPRO
