Aalo, Sep 19: Aalo East MLA Kento Jini inaugurated the electrification of Aalo Daily Market on Saturday in a brief function held here at the market premises.
Inaugurating the electrification facility, the MLA said the lights and fans which have been installed all along the market shed stretching more than 100 m will bring the much-needed comfort to the village womenfolk who sit from dawn to dusk to sell their commodities.
While informing that payment of electric bills will be managed from his end for one year, he appealed to the Bazar Committees to work out ways to pay electricity bills thereafter and ensure safety of electrical equipment. He also disclosed that efforts will be made to develop the shed with concrete structure in the coming years and appealed the vendors and buyers to keep the surroundings clean and maintain all Covid-19 SOPs till a vaccine is developed.
Hearing the problems of the Bazar Committees, the MLA said that water logging in the market area is due to blockage of drains and urged the senior and permanent dwellers to cooperate in sorting out space for drainage works in future. The highway will soon pass through the market area and proper drainage will have to be carried out in front of shop buildings, he added.
Market Committees extended gratitude to the MLA for the electrification. BDOs Aalo East and West were also present during inauguration. DIPRO
