TAWANG, Jan 19: Lumla MLA Jambey Tashi on Monday flagged off a school bus meant for catering to the transportation needs of the students of Government Higher Secondary School Lumla. The bus service was highly necessary given the lengthy distance of the school from Lumla headquarters and closure of hostel facilities due to COVID. Jambey thanked the Chief Minister and Transport Minister for allowing the bus service to commence. While commending the teaching staff for their efforts in continuing the teaching-learning process despite COVID scare, he called on the students to stay away from all sorts of contrabands and other intoxicants. Lumla ADC Tashi Dhondup, ZPM, public leaders, teachers and students attended the flag off ceremony.
