ITANAGAR, Jun 18: MLA-Taliha Nyato Dukam flagged off an ambulance along with several other facilities for the service of Taliha assembly constituency in Upper Subansiri district at Jullang near here on Friday.Speaking to reporters, Dukam said that the ambulance will now serve as the life saving instrument for the people who have been facing problems in transportation of patients time and again due to its non availability.
“There will be a committee who will take care of the ambulance and I shall arrange the necessary support and cooperation for the driver and fuel. The committee will also ensure the proper use of the ambulance for the service of humanity,” he said.
He said due to bad weather and poor road conditions, a good and dependable ambulance was necessary. The ambulance was procured from his personal fund for the people of his constituency.
Referring to Covid- 19 pandemic, Dukam informed that during the 2nd wave of Covid, he has arranged around 50,000 facemasks, 50 bottles of hand sanitizers, hands wash and has distributed it to the workers community across the state.
“The pandemic is still not over and we have to take care of our family and ourselves. We should also guide our family members to maintain Covid appropriate behavior so as to contain the spread further,” he added.
