Aalo, Aug 13: Aalo East MLA Advocate Kento Jini distributed 4 tractors, 13 power tillers and 10 rotary tillers under CMSKY to the beneficiaries and progressive farmers of his constituency in a function held today here at the DDA office premises.
Exhorting the beneficiaries to make best use of the subsidized machineries, the MLA said Covid-19 pandemic was a testing time for productivity and self-sustainability and appreciated the agriculture department for efforts in mitigating the township’s vegetables needs and marketing of local products. He also assured to provide vegetable seeds during the current season to the farmers of the constituency.
West Siang Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi while stating that the district is bestowed with fertile soil for large scale farming, stressed on more funding and exhorted the farmers to obtain Kishan Credit Cards for availing government benefits. State President Bharatiya Kishan Morcha Gumsen Lollen deliberated on the initiatives taken for the Atma Nirbhar Bharat goal.
