Tawang, Sep 3: MLA Tawang Tsering Tashi and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Tawang unit on Thursday donated 3500 N-95 face masks and 1000 bottles of hand sanitizers for the Covid-19 health and frontline warriors of Khandro Drowa Tsangmu District Hospital here in the township.
The donated materials were received by Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr. N.Namshum in presence of DC Tawang Sang Phuntsok, DMO Dr.Wangdi Lama, BJYM Tawang unit president Phurpa Lama, doctors, officers and active members of the unit. The MLA also had an informal discussion with the DC, DMO, DSO(IDSP) and other Medical Officers regarding management of Covid Care Centre and isolation centres in view of the increasing number of positive cases in the district. Later, accompanied by the DC, DMO and other officers he inspected the ongoing construction work of the IPD ward and nursing hostel and asked the department concerned to expedite the process. He also inspected the swab collection centre and the recently operational ICU ward.
The Medical Superintendent apprised the MLA and DC about the receipt of some essential medical equipment for eye and other OPDs under Mukhya Mantri Rogi Kalyan Kosh (MMRKK). DIPRO
