Jonai–Dhemaji, Jun 23: The Takam Mising Porin Kebang (TMPK) students  body  of the Mising community on Monday resorted to protest and blocked the National Highway, in the wake of the alleged brutal killing of a 22-year-old Mising youth Prabash Doley in Chimpu ,Itanagar  Arunachal Pradesh. The protesters are demanding capital punishment for the accused.
Speaking to the media, TMPK leaders issued a stern warning, declaring that their agitation will escalate if justice is delayed. The student body categorically demanded that the accused, Tai John, be given capital punishment, and as well as  compensation for the victim’s family.
TMPK also urged the Arunachal Pradesh Police and judiciary to ensure swift and impartial handling of the case. “Any further delay or negligence in this case will only provoke stronger and more widespread protests,” TMPK leaders said.
While the blockade at Jonai remained peaceful, it has caused significant disruption to traffic movement along the Jonai–Dhemaji corridor connecting Eastern Arunachal , causing inconvenience to commuters and local transport services.
