NEW DELHI, Dec 16: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) today called on the President of India Ram Nath Kovind here at Rashtrapati Bhavan and apprised him on important issues pertaining to Arunachal Pradesh.
Governor who is on an official tour to the national capital briefed the President about different flagship programmes and developmental projects of the State and Central governments being implemented in Arunachal and the overall challenges faced. Sharing the observations gathered during his district tours along the international borders, Governor explained the need for special attention to education, agriculture, its allied sectors and tourism, adding that to boost employability of the state’s youths, focus must be on skill development and ‘Start-Ups’. He informed the President about his regular meetings with the heads of premier educational institutes of the state and students and briefed about the good practices pursued in Raj Bhavan in terms of resource management, power-saving, environmental protection initiatives etc.
Governor also reiterated the need of separate Central Services Cadre for Arunachal Pradesh and review of ‘The Table of Precedence of India’. PRO Raj Bhavan
