MAHADEVPUR, Jul 10: A team of 12 Bn NDRF retrieved the body of a 13-year-old minor boy identified as Atul Moran of Sitpani Moran village this evening who drowned in a pond in Mahadevpur.
On receiving the information and request for rescuing from EAC Mahadevpur, a rescue team from the NDRF consisting of 22 personnel under the command of Inspector Saurabh Singh rushed to the spot with necessary equipment like four OBM and boats, two deep diving sets, one satellite phone, CSSR equipment and Covid-19 PPEs. The team reached the incident site and started the search operation both with the help of boats and manual search in the pond having a depth of approx 15 feet.
The dead body was retrieved finally at around 7:25 pm which was handed over to the local police, a press statement from the NDRF stated.
