NEW DELHI Oct 27: Advisor to Minister Environment and Forests Kumsi Sidisow on Wednesday called on Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Ashwini Kumar Choubey at Indira Paryavaran Bhawan here.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Resident Commissioner (DRC) Sangeet Dubey and DG (Forest), Subhash Chandra.
During the meeting, Sidisow requested the union minister to extend support to the Environment & Forest Department, Arunachal Pradesh and to enhance the infrastructural support to the State as well.
He primarily flagged the issues related to the release of CAMPA funds and sought release well in advance at the beginning of every financial year to complete the project well in time.
He further requested to release pending funds under compensatory afforestation, Wildlife Protection Management, unpaid wages, integrated landscape Eco-Tourism Development of Bhalukpong & Tippi Region, Nagarvan, School Nursery Schemes, Upgradation SFRI at Tippi in West Kameng District etc.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey expressed that his Ministry is evolving a system for the release of funds under CAMPA on time so that implementation of the project is not delayed.
He further expressed all support and assured of providing necessary assistance to the impending issues of the State and requested to send the proposals of integrated landscape Eco-Tourism, Nagarvan, School Nursery Schemes for proper examination and consideration.
