ITANAGAR, Jul 23:  Home Minister Bamang Felix, Health Minister Alo Libang, ICC deputy commissioner Komkar Dulom and ICC DMO M Perme today visited various Covid-19 testing kiosks established in 20 wards of Itanagar.
Health minister Libang lauded the doctors and officials for working dedicatedly despite challenges and informed that till their visit all Rapid Antigen tests have come negative.
Regarding shortages of beds in Lekhi COVID Care Center, the minister informed that they have decided to create another CCC in Itanagar, and work in this regard has already begun. He added that MLA apartment complex which is being converted into a COVID Hospital will be made functional by the first week of August.
Home minister Felix on his part appealed to all concerned to cooperate with the frontline workers and the administration. He informed that test results collected in the current lockdown till August 3 will be crucial to assess the actual scenario of Covid-19, based on which the state government will make further plans to contain the spread. 
Urging all to strictly follow the preventive guidelines, Felix said, “No one can protect you from contracting Covid-19. Only you can protect yourself by maintaining SOP.”
DC Dulom also lauded the frontline workers for undertaking their duties dedicatedly and said that works are being carried out efficiently. He also expressed confidence that the Covid-19 chain will be broken.
