Itanagar, Oct 25: Arunachal Pradesh Civil Aviation Minister, Balo Raja has written to the Airport Authority appealing for resumption of air cargo services at Donyi Polo Airport, Hollongi Itanagar at the earliest.
The air cargo service has been temporarily put on hold following shifting of operations to the new Terminal Building.
In a letter addressed to P. Narendra, Airport Director, Donyi Polo Airport, the Minister said that the introduction of air cargo is expected to boost the overall development of the entire state.
Raja, mentioned that a huge number of MSMEs from the State have registered for taking part in the ensuing India International Trade Fair-2025; which is scheduled to be held from November 14 - 27, at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Moreover, Local Body Election in Arunachal Pradesh is proposed to be held early in December for which also the services of air cargo are very much required for transportation of EVMs & other election materials to the State.
