BANDERDEWA, Feb 27: Minister for Industries, Tumke Bagra accompanied by Minister Health Alo Libang along with officials of the department visited the upcoming mega food park located at Dolikoto, Banderdewa today.
"I personally visited and inspected the mega food park site and I am very satisfied with the status of work going in the site which is quite appreciable," said Bagra. He also added that construction of four lane road measuring 4 Km in length, 50 acres of land development for setting up 35 units of different food industries has been completed and supplying of electrical work is going also on.
The Department of Industries is constantly monitoring the work progress in the Mega Food Park site to complete it at the scheduled time. At the same, I wish the Department of Planning & Investment may initiate to bring investors here at Mega Food Park for setting up different food industries, the Minister said.
Once commissioned the Mega Food Park will also generate large numbers of direct and indirect employment for the youths of the state at the same time it will give a major boost to the industry sector of this region. The farmers of the state will find a suitable place for marketing of their horticultural and agricultural produces and as a result of which wastages of the perishable items will be reduced with an increase in value addition.
