ITANAGAR, Feb 12:  Militant group NSCN- KYA has demanded a ransom of Rs 2 crore for the release of two abducted construction workers.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Longding,  B. Tangzang informed that negotiation is going on regarding the ransom amount and the Police as well as the Indian Army is trying their best to bring back the two abductees safely. As per reports, the militant group will probably release the two workers within a few days who are currently in their captivity in Myanmar, the DSP added.
On 31st January, a group of NSCN –KYA cadres abducted three persons from a construction site in Pumao,  Longding district. The trio, engaged as excavator operators, were staying at a campsite from where they were abducted. However, militants later released one Bangphua Wangpan, a resident of Langkhao village but fled with the other two— Hiren Konch and Ramasish Mahato to Nyasa in Nagaland.
