YACHULI, Apr 12: Mid Day Meal (MDM) Coordinator, Lower Subansiri district Likha Kara today made a surprise visit to Government Secondary School, Yachuli under Ziro-II of 16th Yachuli Assembly Constituency to assess the current status of implementation of the scheme in the school.
Besides interacting with teachers and students, the Coordinator inspected the MDM kitchen sheds accompanied by BRC Coordinator Chukhu Epa and CRCCS of the Block. ‘Teachers and parents should play a crucial role for instilling confidence among the students for achieving their educational goals,” he said while asserting that government schools are not inferior to private schools despite their dilapidated infrastructure. The Coordinator further mentioned that the state government has declared 2021-22 as the Year of Education and allocated more funds in this year’s budget.
Along with the BRC, CRCCS, teaching staff including the school’s Headmaster JK. Abo, the Coordinator ate meals with the students and asked them about the quality of food being served.
