PASIGHAT, Aug 16:  MLA Kaling Moyong felicitated the meritorious students  of his Constituency under the MLA’s Laptop Scheme “Academic Excellence Award” today.
The awardees received a Laptop & Certificate of Appreciation each for their excellent performances in the recent Class X & XII CBSE Board Examinations.  BA, BSc. B.Com & MA toppers under the 38th Pasighat East Constituency were also awarded on the occasion. The laptop scheme to award academic toppers is an initiative of the MLA to motivate & award meritorious students of schools & colleges under 38th Pasighat East Constituency to strive for academic excellence.
The local MLA, Moyong in his address to the students community, advised them to strive for excellence in their chosen fields and work hard towards it with a vision to achieve their goal in life. Today in this age of meritocracy and transparency with no scope for backdoor entry,  hardworking & meritorious students will surely get opportunity   in the government & private sectors, he said. As quality education and all round growth for students is top priority, a VKV School will be established in Pasighat, Mini Stadiums with 24X 7 facilities will be constructed in IGJ Govt.Higher Secondary School and D Ering Govt. Higher secondary School, Pasighat, In the higher education sector , to  help students to access quality higher education, 500 crores has been sanctioned for establishment of the Arunachal University in Pasighat,which is recognized as a State University by the UGC, Moyong informed.

DC, Tayi Taggu, SP, Sumit Kumar Jha , better half of MLA, Kenrik Ete Moyong,  Chairman Academic Board, Grp. Captain(Retd.), Mohonto Pannging Pao,  Principal JNC,Dr. T.Taloh,  DDSE, Odhuk Tabing ,ADC (Hq), Taddo, Borang, Commandant 5th IRBn ,Aishwarya Sharma were also present on the occasion and encouraged the students to strive hard..
