ITANAGAR, Jul 12:Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein has asked all the Chief Engineers of PWD to keep the critical road link through by engaging all available departmental resources to ensure movement of essential commodities within the state uninterrupted.

Mein emphasized that the priority of Chief Minister is to keep the road communication free in all weather conditions, so that the commuters do not face any inconvenience.

He was addressing a meeting to review the situation arisen after heavy downpour in the state with Commissioner (PWD) and CEs on Monday.

Earlier on Sunday last, an emergency meeting of Chief Engineers of PWD was also called by the commissioner (PWD) in his office chamber to assess the extent of flood damages caused by incessant rainfall.

During the Meeting, all works zones Chief Engineers appraised the Commissioner (PWD) about the damages under their respective jurisdiction.

Commissioner directed the Chief Engineers to identify the vital communications and maintain the road communications at any cost
