Aalo, Dec 10: An elaborate meeting to discuss a host of key issues relating to the progress of ongoing infrastructure expansion works in Aalo township and socio-cultural matters was convened today here at the DC’s office by Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi which was participated by senior citizens and Heads of Offices.
Discussions covered topics such as construction of sports stadium, CC pavements roads, shifting of Sumo counters from township areas, construction of Juvenile Home, shifting of PWD and power garage to create parking places, progress of Trans Arunachal Highway, social and cultural welfare matters etc. The meeting was necessitated due to slow pace of work for the last many months on account of Covid-19 pandemic. While hinting on constituting monitoring teams for the ongoing works in the township, the DC urged the sector committees to look into the needs of the executing agencies and bring into notice the issues requiring intervention by the District Administration. He informed that notices will be served to the contractors for unfinished and quality-compromised works, Power and PHED departments have been asked to shift their utilities from RoW, all tender processes are to be completed immediately after PR election and Sumo counters without licences will be cancelled.
Senior Citizens, members of the ATPWDS and AAPTF and officers deliberated on various issues concerning the township’s welfare. DIPRO
