TAWANG, Oct 7: The first meeting of the District Malaria Elimination Task Force (DMETF) unit of Tawang district was conducted here at the DC's conference hall on Wednesday chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sang Phuntsok.
Underscoring the vital role of the medical team and members of the task force in combating malaria, DC stressed on spreading awareness among the common people on cleanliness and proper segregation of domestic and other wastes. Public Health Consultant, National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) Dr. T.Loyi gave detailed information on the programme. DMO Dr. Wangdi Lama requested the CDPO to sensitize Anganwadi and ASHA workers on methods for checking mosquito breeding.
District Programme officer, NVBDCP Dr. Thutan Tsering shared information on the status of malaria in Tawang district. DIPRO
