Rono Hills, Dec 8: A team of high-level officials from the state government led by Director, Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) Dr. Moji Jini and officers from the Directorate of Medical Education today called on Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University Professor Saket Kushwaha here at his office to update him on the two new Nursing Colleges coming up in the state.
Dr. Jini informed the RGU VC the said colleges, one in Naharlagun and the other in Pasighat offering BSc. (Nursing) with affiliation from the RGU and recognition from the Indian Nursing Council are all set to commence functioning.
Professor Kushwaha while appreciating the move taken by the state government advised the team to work for improving the linkages holistically for overall growth of the medical education system in Arunachal Pradesh. Rikam spoke on the role of the state’s lone central university in shaping human resources, while Joint Registrar Dr. David Pertin briefed on the varsity’s key roles vis-à-vis its affiliated colleges.
