ROING, Sep 26: As a part of the ‘Read to Learn’ campaign launched by the Lohit Youth Library Network, Dibang Youth Library, Roing has launched a series of “Maths is Fun” workshop for government school students of classes VII to XII, to help them recover from the stagnation in studies due to the long coronavirus pandemic.
The first of these workshops for class VII students was conducted on Saturday for students of Cheta Government Middle School and Roing Secondary School in accordance with Covid protocol.
The workshop was conducted by Malothro Mena, a student of IIT Kharagpur and a library volunteer. A range of activities highlighting interesting aspects of numbers, maths puzzles and guessing games and paper folding geometry made the session highly interactive and enjoyable for the participants. They could also go through interesting books on mathematics and eminent mathematicians. DIPRO
