PASIGHAT, Apr 23: The Engineering Wing of the state’s education department held a massive plantation drive at the premises of the Niglok Sainik School here on Saturday.
School Principal, Commander Praveen Kumar Pola on the occasion said that in order to provide a better environment for the future generations, saplings should be planted wherever possible adding that care must be taken to ensure that saplings are survived and grow into big trees. “We must have unstoppable courage to preserve and protect our mother nature”, he stated quoting that greenery and cleanliness would lead to better health and would make environment pollution free.
Later, in a coordination meeting, Commander Pola asked the electrical engineers for early charging of electrical infrastructure and provision of external electrification to the newly established prefabricated campus latest by April 30 next as cadets were set to report shortly. He also sought ‘Safety Certificate’ from the concerned authority in the meeting for reopening of the school on scheduled time.
