CHAYANG TAJO, Sep 20: Legislator Hayeng Mangfi has called for better cooperation from local public for speedy development of Namchar, Soshi and Doripu village under Chayang Tajo circle in East Kameng district. 
He was speaking as chief guest at the felicitation programme for the newly selected panchayat members of the 41 Namchar Bagang gram panchayat constituency – organised by the Namchar Soshi and Doripu Village Welfare Society (NSDVWS) at Namchar village on January 17. 
He also assured to look into the demand for construction of a community hall. 
The society during its 1st general conference held at Namchar Bagang on January 16 has also called for a blanket ban on hunting, fishing and extraction of forest products from Namchar, Soshi and Doripu village by outsiders. 
To prevent drug problem, the society has decided to create awareness on negative impact of drug abuse among youths and to handover drug dealers to the police as part of the anti-drug strategies. To stop early marriage among teenagers, the society has set the minimum age of marriage at 22 years for women and men.  
The other decisions include compulsory construction of toilets in the villages; shifting of piglets out of the villages, ban on fresh encroachment of roads by construction of houses, proper implementation of MGNREGA scheme and mandatory dwelling house construction at village by PRI members to work out migration crisis. 
Newly selected chairperson of NSDVWS, head gaon burah Bangram Bagang and general secretary Er Karan Bagang also spoke on the occasion.
