BOMDILA, Sep 22: The court of District & Sessions Judge, Bomdila has convicted a man, one Beli Rai (25) of Thrizino, West Kameng District under section 302 IPC for allegedly killing his wife.
According to the prosecution, Rai with a scarf (churni) strangled his 26-year-old wife to death over suspicion of an extra-marital relationship at their home located at Sessa area, near Bhalukpong on 6th February 2020.
The very next day, the sister of the deceased, Maya Rai lodged a written complaint accusing Rai of killing her sister at the Bhalukpong Police Station.
Accused Beli Rai confessed to killing his wife by strangling her with a scarf while sleeping at night. During the course of investigation, the scarf used in the crime was recovered and seized by the Police. DIPRO
