YupiaOct 1: National Deworming Day (NDD) was launched in Papum Pare district by the Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman District Health Society Pige Ligu here at the Dispensary Unit on Thursday.

While administering Albendazole tablets to the children, the DC advised the parents to remain extra cautious and strictly follow all COVID-19 protocols and guidelines to stop further spread of coronavirus. District Medical Officer Dr. Komling Perme highlighted the importance of the NDD programme and informed that during the fortnight from October 1-15, all children in the age group of 1-19 years in the district will be covered and ASHAs will be engaged for house-to-house coverage through strict maintenance of COVID SOPs.
