ITANAGAR, Sep 24: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) national President Poonam Yuvajan urged youths of Arunachal to shun money culture in election and join hands for the development of the state. She was addressing BJYM members today during the three-day ‘Yuva Sammelan’ event being organized by the state unit of BJYM here at Nyokum Lapang from September 23 to 25.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, State BJP President Tapir Gao and ministers as well as BJP MLAs also attended the event.
Poonam, who is also the Member of Lok Sabha from Mumbai North Central constituency, further added, ‘ I am proud of my youths of Arunachal who motivated themselves to stand on their own in every field despite limited resources in the state’. Advising the youths to work for the future of the state and country, she added, ‘We cannot recreate our past but future is in our hands.’
The BJYM national President also slammed the Congress for their lackadaisical attitude towards the youth of the state. ‘There is so much talent and ability in the youths of the state but instead of giving them right direction, Congress had used them by using money for their political benefits’.
‘We are in the golden era , as we have got many young and energetic ministers in every state as well as a visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi and State Chief Minister Pema Khandu and MoS Kiren Rijiju who are always working and visiting every nook and corner for all round development ,‘ added Poonam.
While welcoming the BJYM national President, Rijiju stated that Arunachal is rising under the leadership of Chief Minister Khandu and Prime Minister Modi in the country .
Criticizing the Congress, Rijiju said, ‘ they should stop playing blame game on present state BJP government for not executing development works in the state. “The works which should have been completed during Congress tenure have been put on to the shoulders of our (BJP) party as a burden. They should be thankful to BJP, as in mere two years of BJP governance we are witnessing drastic changes in state’s overall development.”
More than two thousand BJYM members from different districts of Arunachal are participating in the Yuva Sammelan that kicked off on Sunday.
