ITANAGAR, Oct 21: Legal Services Authorities in the state as a part of its ongoing 3rd week of mass legal awareness and outreach programme on the eve of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav under “PAN-India Legal Awareness and Outreach Campaign” conducted Legal Awareness Programme in the 5 districts viz. Lohit, Lower Dibang Valley, Upper Subansiri, West Kameng, and Tawang in its endeavour to make justice accessible for all and to provide justice to the doorstep of the people especially poor needy persons and disadvantaged sections of society.
Various topics such as the functions of Legal Services Authorities of providing free legal services, Juvenile Justice Act, POCSO Act, 2012, Legal Aid Clinic, Right to Education, Para-Legal Volunteer, Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme, 2011, etc addressed. A total of 334 beneficiaries benefitted from this Door to Door Programme.
