Ziro, May 19: Immediately after attending a video conference chaired by the State Chief Secretary, on ‘Preparedness to tackle Monsoon Challenges 2025’, Vivek H.P, Deputy Commissioner, Lower Subansiri District called for an urgent meeting to review readiness of various departments on South-West Monsoon at Ziro on Monday.
The review meeting is the follow up to the South-West Monsoon Emergency Preparedness Meeting held on May 16 under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Lower Subansiri District. In the meeting, he mainly reviewed the status of reserved food stocks, drainage clearance, availability of medicines and doctors and road, power, water and telecom connectivity in the valley. 
Deputy Commissioner Vivek H.P. has directed the Medical, Transport and Police Departments to keep adequate vehicles and manpower on standby for prompt and efficient response to emergency situations during this Monsoon Season. Also, he directed the concerned departments to timely disseminate important information to public through DIPRO.
Among those present were ADC Himani Meena, DySP Ojing Lego, DDMO Mrs Nima Drema, departmental heads of the district and Personnel from ITBP and CRPF.
