ZIRO, Aug 23: Lower Subansiri District Police,  in collaboration with Blood Bank, Gyati  Taka General Hospital, Ziro conducted a voluntary blood donation camp under the theme, " Give Blood and Keep the world - Beating ", to celebrate Azadi ka Amrut  Mahotsav;  the  75 glorious years of India’s independence.
Seven units of blood were donated by the police team during the camp. The team was led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Tasi Darang and  accompanied  by SI A N Singh, SI Tadu John, SI Raju Tayeng and other personnel who voluntarily donated blood.
DySP Ziro Tasi Darang termed blood donation as the highest act of humanitarian service and exhorted other members and eligible persons to come forward and save lives by donating blood.
Dr Hage Yubey, Blood Bank Officer expressed gratitude to the Police personnel for organising the  blood donation.
